1. No Alphabet Required

Children do not need to know their letters or alphabet to have a thorough, accurate eye examination. Our optometrists use child-friendly picture charts, light-based tracking tests, and interactive games to assess sight, eye alignment, and visual tracking effortlessly.

2. Early Testing is Key

We recommend bringing your child in for their first comprehensive eye exam as early as 3 years old (or earlier if you notice any physical misalignment or concerns). Detecting issues like amblyopia ("lazy eye") or strabismus ("squint") early makes treatment significantly more effective.

3. Free on the NHS*

Sight tests are completely free on the NHS* for all children under 16, as well as young people under 19 in full-time education. In addition, if your child requires glasses, the NHS provides optical vouchers towards the cost of lenses and frames.
